New test version now available
Thanks so much to those of you who have looked at the site so far. Your feedback has been very useful.
We’ve just released a new version to http://demo.rehab-online.org.uk
We have answered some of your questions, but are still working on a few.
Things we have done:
- improve the search on the homepage so you should be able to search for any towns/counties/postcodes or project names that you choose to enter on the homepage search
- only link to the CQC site if this information is available
- increased the field name, so each project name should now show in full in the search results
We are still working on making the link from the search results page to the individual project pages clearer. To get there, you can click on the image or the project name.
If you have 5 minutes, please go and search for:
- your local towns
- your county
- projects you know
Then you could try out the advanced search page to search for:
- drug rehab + your region
- alcohol rehab + family services available
- any other searches that would fit in with how you see the site being used
At the moment, the vacancy information is not live, so if you do want to try this out, it may well return 0 results.
As before once you have tested this, have a think about these questions:
- Can you find what you are looking for?
- Is the information displayed in a way that makes it easy to access?
This time, I’d also like you to have a look at the details of one project that you find in your search results. (You’ll need to click on the project name or the image). Please have a look through the tabs, and think about these questions:
- Is the information displayed in a logical way?
- Can you find the information that is most important to you?
- Is it where you expected it to be?
- Are the tabs easy to navigate?
In addition, we are looking for some service providers to test the area where you’ll be able to upload/change details about your project(s). If you would like to do this, let me know and we’ll set you up with a username and password and will send you details of how to login etc.
Many thanks!
Fiona

Hi Fiona,
having tested the site quite comprehensively, although not to destruction it appears to work very well. The only issues I have are the links to the ratings aren’t yet available (small thing) and I’m slightly concerned that the information contained within the individual rehabs info hasn’t been verified as accurate e.g turning point in chester says fees are £343 when it is more like £575 (you’ll need to check with them).
Local authority area is also wrong it’s now West Cheshire & Chester.
DAT area is currently Cheshire not South Cheshire.
Finally the treatment completion rate bit is a bit meaningless without some indication of the actual numbers going through, e.g 66% client dropped out could easily mean that only 3 clients have used the project and 2 of those have dropped out, or 100 have used the project and 66 have dropped out which are worlds apart.
All the details contained within the info need to be verified or you have wasted your time doing this site. Apart from these issues I think you have achieved a very comprehensive, informative and functional website, and you should be congratulated as I’m only too aware of all the conflicting needs of users, providers and carers. WELL DONE *****
Thanks Andy, glad you found it easy to use.
The links to the ratings won’t work yet, and we are going through a process of updating the information and getting the service providers to update their own.
I’ll pass on your comments on the LA/DAT areas.
Kind regards
Fiona
ooops, sorry the local authority in my last post is actually ‘Cheshire West and Chester’ before any changes are made.
Thanks
