rehab online – test version now available
If you go to: http://demo.rehab-online.org.uk/ you will find a test version. We’ll be releasing more functionality over the next few days. For the moment, if you have time, I’d like you to try out the search on the homepage and the advanced search.
If you have your own searches that you’d like to perform, that would be great. Otherwise, you can try these out and see if you get what you expect:
Test 1
1. On the homepage, search for a project in Cheshire
2. From the results page, click on the details of the second project
3. Find out how many rooms it has, go to the page that has testimonials in it, and check out the cost of the project.
Questions
1. How easy is it to use the search on the homepage?
2. Do you get results as you would expect?
3. Is it easy to scroll through the different projects that show up in the results?
Test 2
1. Go to “Refine search”
2. Use the advanced search to find a project in Greater Manchester
Questions
1. How easy is it to use the advanced search?
2. Do you get results as you would expect?
3. Is it easy to scroll through the different projects that show up in the results?
Please test the search as much as you want to for whatever criteria you wish to try out and then give feedback here.
It would be really helpful to know which browser version you are using when you test the site (if you are not sure, then click on “Help” in the top navigation bar and select “About…..”, and it should tell you the browser and version you are using, e.g.Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6.0).
PLEASE NOTE: it is a test version, so the actual data may not be 100% correct, at this stage, we want to make sure that the search is working correctly.
Happy testing!

MS Internet Explorer 7, Version 7.0.5730.13
Firstly I did the Chester search, 2nd rehab:Open Minds, but couldn’t work out how to get more details of the project (tried the website link but that didn’t work). However, while ‘playing’ with the page I happened to click on the ‘awaiting photo’ box and it brought up the information you wanted us to find. There was nothing to tell me to do that though.
The scrolling down seems to work fine.
The Greater Manchester test seemed to work ok.
I did however struggle with being able to locate a rehab in Berkshire, although I know there is one near Reading. It only came up when I searched for the town. I think it would be important for people looking for a rehab to be able to search successfully on ‘county’ because they might not know what town one is near.
Good to try out the functionality though, thanks. Fiona
Hi Fiona
Thanks for the feedback. We are currently looking at how it searches on town names/counties, so that should be resolved soon – and yes, you are right, searching on county is very important!
Thanks also for the comment on not being sure where to click to get more details. We’ll have a think and work out how to make that more obvious.
Thanks
Fiona
Need to check text wrapping on e-mail addresses – see screen shot from Fiona.
Provider Name field length too short – some names are getting chopped.
Font size for message “Not yet rated” inconsistent.
– see screen shot from Fiona.
CQC link is always live but doesn’t always go to a site. It should be non active (greyed out) if no link available.
Thanks Jerry – these are now logged and being looked at.
Can you just clarify the browser you are using?
thanks
Fiona
Hello,
Just a few comments. I was easily able to achieve all the bit to be tested. One small point is when searching within the greater manchester area bennett house is incomplete (on the bit you click on to go for further details) hope that made sense.
Very functional, easy to use and understand. Navigation around the site is a breeze in my view.
Andy
Hi Andy
Thanks for the feedback. We’ve picked up the issue about chopping off the project names, and are working on it at the moment.
As soon as we’ve released any changes, I’ll let you know.
thanks
Fiona
It didn’t seem to work fully. The website on the Chester site was not there, and I had trouble with the Manchester one I also tried other areas but they always came up with nil results, However I assume that this is because it is a test version.
I think it is getting there. A help button and section would be extremely useful. On the whole this will be a great advance than the NTA one.
for information I use Monzilla Firefox version 3.5 but I am about to download version 3.6
Regards Neil
Thanks Neil. We’re working on the location search, so thanks for flagging the issues you found.
Thanks
Fiona

Hi Fiona
Have had a play with the new website – I must say I really do rather like it, it seems quite straight forward, I like the lack of fussy bits, the simple colours used etc. I like the way the adanced search criteria are seperated out. All in all its looking pretty good to me (as one who has actually written a website myself in the past). The only inconsistency I noticed I have mentioned above (the vacancies bit)
Yours
