Recruiting Senior Sales and Business Development Manager
An exciting sales role has arisen within Pavilion Interactive, one the UK’s leading providers of information to the social care market.
Senior Sales and Business Development Manager (Location Oxford)
£30-£35k depending on experience + commission
UK-wide travelling
You will be responsible for growing revenues for our products including our flagship information portal that has 100 customers and more than 15,000 subscribers.
This role would suit a dedicated, hardworking and tenacious sales professional looking to develop their career with a fast-paced and forward-thinking company.
Your duties will include the following:
- Actively account manage our existing customer base and ensure the renewal of subscription revenues
- Actively source new business leads both internally within the group and externally
- Identify areas of new business growth and devise ways of targeting these areas
- Maintain a pipeline of new business prospects
- Effectively communicate with potential new clients through telephone and face-to-face meetings, and be able to demonstrate our products comfortably through both
- Convert free trials into sales
- Identify and grow additional digital revenue streams including, but not limited to, sponsorship, white papers and e-bulletins
- Proactively cross-sell and up-sell our products at the appropriate stage of customer contact in order to maximise benefits for our customers
- Meet monthly and quarterly new business sales targets and activity goals
- Provide the management team with regular reports including information on calls made/sales closed/customer feedback for each campaign
Experience and skills:
Essential
- Previous media and subscription sales experience and a demonstrable track record of success
- Educated to degree level
- Experience of selling online information products
- An excellent communicator with the ability and confidence to speak and sell to Directors and other high level executives
- Self motivated, persuasive and sales-driven
- Highly IT literate
Desirable
- Experience of contributing to new product development and monetising websites
- Experience and knowledge of selling to local government/councils
- Knowledge or interest in health and/or social care
- Understanding of new media and social media
